Time-sensitive editorial content at scale
A grounded generation system producing publish-ready articles at volume, including time-sensitive coverage that has to be live within minutes of the source data landing.
- hours → minutes
- editorial effort per article
- LangChain, LangSmith, Vector retrieval, Multi-stage validation
- stack
Problem
- Editorial staff could not manually produce CMS-ready, on-style content at the volume and speed the platform required: thousands of articles, many of them time-sensitive and expected live within minutes of the underlying data landing.
- Every output had to be CMS-compatible, factually accurate against the client's own data, and aligned with their editorial style guide and formatting specifications.
Approach
- Generation grounded in the client's structured data warehouse and their internal article vector database, on a shared evaluation and grounding foundation. Time-sensitive articles are generated automatically the moment new source data is confirmed upstream.
- Generation orchestrated with LangChain behind a vendor-agnostic abstraction, so model providers can be swapped without touching pipeline logic. LangSmith for pipeline evaluation.
- Prompt and model changes cannot ship without an evaluation run. Multiple evaluators score every run, feeding iterative quality loops and a multi-stage validation gate before anything reaches the CMS.
- Short and long formats produced in parallel, with every content type on the platform handled end to end.
Outcome
- Thousands of multilingual, publish-ready articles.
- Time-sensitive pieces go from upstream confirmation to live in the CMS in minutes.
- Editorial effort dropped from hours to minutes per article, expanding feasible coverage from hundreds of pieces to thousands.
- Hundreds of sample outputs manually evaluated against editorial standards, with the findings fed back into the system.
